By submitting an entry to the Mascot Competition (“Competition”), you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which serve as the rules for the Competition.

  1. The Mascot Competition is open to all residents of the UK (“You”).
  2. To participate, simply submit a picture of a mascot for the D&B Board Game Conventions using any medium of your choice.
  3. Entries can be submitted by mailing them or delivering them by hand to D&B Mascot Competition, Dice and Balls, Unit 3 The AMP, 5 The Marketplace, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 6ND, or emailing them to games@diceandballs.co.uk. You are responsible for any postage costs incurred.
  4. When submitting your entry, please provide your name, age, address, and contact telephone number. If you’re under 16, include the contact details of your parent or guardian. We’ll only use this information for the Competition purposes and won’t retain it longer than necessary.
  5. Each participant is allowed only one entry.
  6. Entries must reach us by 6:00pm on April 13, 2024.
  7. Employees or agents of Dice and Balls CIC (referred to as “D&B,” “We,” or “Our”), or their family members, are not eligible to participate.

Selecting the Winners

  1. The winning entry will be chosen from all submissions received by the closing date.
  2. The decision will be made on or before April 30, 2024, and is final; no correspondence will be entertained.

Announcing the Winners

  1. Winning entries will be showcased on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/diceandballs) and website (https://www.diceandballs.co.uk) after May 1, 2024.
  2. You retain copyright to your entry.
  3. By entering the Competition, you grant D&B permission to publish your entry on Facebook and our website, and to use your name, age, and city of residence for identification purposes. Additionally, you grant D&B permission to utilize your design (with modifications if required), with full credit, on promotional material and merchandise for future D&B Conventions.

Parental Consent for Entrants Under 16

  1. If you’re under 16, ensure your parent or guardian approves your participation as per these Terms and Conditions.
  2. D&B requires written consent (including via email) from the parent or guardian of a winning entrant to publish the winning entry and author’s details.
  3. Failure to obtain consent may result in awarding the prize to another eligible entry.

Prizes

  1. The winner will receive a £20 game from the Dice & Balls Hub.
  2. Winners, or their parents or guardians if under 16, will be notified by telephone on or before April 30, 2024.
  3. Prizes will be dispatched after May 1, 2024, or can be collected from our Hub thereafter.
  4. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other prizes.
  5. Similar-value prizes may be substituted if the original ones are unavailable.

Additional Rules

  1. Entries must be individual; submissions on behalf of others or joint submissions will not be accepted.
  2. We are not responsible for lost, delayed, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or entries that cannot be delivered due to technical issues.
  3. Entries will not be returned.
  4. Winners’ details can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Convention Mascot Competition, Dice and Balls CIC, Unit 3 The AMP, 5 The Marketplace, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 6ND.
  5. No purchase is necessary.
  6. Dice and Balls CIC is the Competition’s promoter, with complaints to be directed to the aforementioned address.
  7. Liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of negligence is not excluded.
  8. D&B bears no responsibility for any damage, loss, or injury incurred due to participation in the Competition or acceptance of the prize.
  9. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Competition, with or without notice, due to circumstances beyond our control.
  10. Force majeure events may excuse non-compliance with obligations, including but not limited to weather conditions, strikes, or legislative changes.
  11. English law governs the Competition.
